Athens, GR Another Athens gig has been added to the current tour, this time the Athens in the cradle of modern civilization that is Greece (although this isn't meant to imply that there is anything uncivilized about the great state of Georgia). If you're wondering how the new line-up sounds, then get your mp3s of the 'Black Sessions' gig broadcast from Paris on September 25th from a blog amusingly called Kwaya Na Kisser. Astralwerking, Parlophoning New label Astralwerks are putting in the hard yards and have come up with a little pretty Sparklehorse site of their own. Likewise Parlophone in the UK are offering a free download and running a mailinglist at their new Sparklehorse site. The offical site has also been updated with new news and bits and pieces, and also worth a look is the moderately accurate Wikipedia entry. Motoring Sweden 'Hundreds of Sparrows' has been used in a recent Volvo commercial. Whether that's good or bad is for you to decide, but have a look for yourselves here. More than just an ad, the "Who Would You Give A Volvo To?" campaign is their "way of inspiring you to think of the people you care about" but sadly, "isn't a contest".
